Aerial view

Aerial view of the pumptrack in Sallanches
Read off this view on 9 September 2026: a sealed surface, a footprint of about 1 700 m², 34 rollers, 22 banked turns. A vast sealed complex: a very dense central network of tight turns and a second looped track to the right, between the skatepark and the athletics track. A very large site, two tracks, a wealth of tight sequences: all levels, plenty to ride and progress for a long time. It shows the layout, not the state of the rollers or the surface, and may predate the pumptrack. © IGN — BD ORTHO®, Licence Ouverte 2.0.

What the town says about it

A third source, neither the ministry census nor OpenStreetMap: what the town itself publishes. It is the only one that says where a facility came from, who built it and what it cost.

On 13 July 2021 the town of Sallanches notified its contract 2021/04, 'pumptrack and flow park design': a works contract under an adapted procedure, at a firm price of €370,000 excl. tax for both facilities. It went to a consortium led by Vulcano Skateparks, with BikeSolutions, the practice Fest Architecture and Inout Concept.1

The Pays du Mont-Blanc tourist office describes the track: four graded lines, each colour-coded — green over 107 metres, blue over 155, red over 105, black over 60 — with a 'free line' on the blue-and-red route. The black line carries a 'shark fin' jump, and an earth bump line rounds out the layout. A 'tic-tac' module links to the neighbouring flow park. Access is free year-round; the track adjoins the skatepark on rue de l'Hôpital.2
