Pumptracks in France

826 pumptracks across 726 communes, 449 of them declared openly accessible.

This inventory crosses two sources that ignore one another: the French sports ministry's facilities census and OpenStreetMap. They overlap on only 101 facilities — a directory built on either one alone would miss half of them.

What the data will never hold

No open dataset says whether the surface has cracked, whether the rollers still stand, whether the place is worth the trip on a Sunday. For that, someone has to have been there. If you know one of these 826 pumptracks — or one that is missing — every page carries a link to say so.

What this site refuses to do

A page states only what a source declares. No assumed surface, no “closed” inferred from silence: a missing field was never filled in, and does not mean “no”. Every page names its source in plain sight.

150 entries have no position in either source: their point is the centre of their commune, and they say so.
