Aerial view of the pumptrack in Mésanger
Read off this view on 10 September 2026: a sealed surface, a footprint of about 700 m², 12 rollers, 7 banked turns. A long sealed loop, wide at the west end and tapering to a point in the east, with inner lines cutting across it in a figure-eight. Between the road and the sports-complex car park, set apart from the neighbouring dirt BMX track. Track edges and lane splits picked out with a solid white line. A flowing track with several line choices: the big outer lap for speed, the tighter inner shortcuts for pumping. Beginners to intermediates. It shows the layout, not the state of the rollers or the surface, and may predate the pumptrack. © IGN — BD ORTHO®, Licence Ouverte 2.0.

What the town says about it

A third source, neither the ministry census nor OpenStreetMap: what the town itself publishes. It is the only one that says where a facility came from, who built it and what it cost.

Mésanger's pumptrack was requested by the town's youth council and set by the lake alongside other open-air equipment, including a teqball table. The town describes it as free to use and open to all ages.1

It cost 105,348.01 euros excl. tax, funded by a 34,004-euro fonds de concours, a 21,038-euro grant under the Plan 5000 local sports-facilities scheme, and 50,306.01 euros from the town's own budget. The Pays d'Ancenis Cyclisme club runs supervised slots there on Saturday mornings.1
